The world is a rapidly evolving and shrinking place. It requires unique solutions for the new threats that are on, or just over, the horizon.
With Kepler’s forward thinking eye and unique understanding of the extra-terrestrial theater, we are developing three related systems for Space Combat Environments (SCE).
Space Combat Suit (SCS)
Because the Kepler SAS core is both extremely durable and extremely modular, it makes the perfect base on which to build a SAS for military space operations. This SCS will provide maximal capability, survivability, and will provide the foundation upon which a fighting force could be based. On orbit, ship board, or on a Lunar or any planetary surface, including Earth.
Embedded in the suit systems include communication, with navigation, IFF, and weapons sights built into the suit’s HUD, providing unparalleled C3ISTAR.
Advanced Space-operations Weapons Systems (ASWS)
Wherever Militaries go, small arms follow. For space operations, KS is developing a series of weapons especially tuned for use in SCEs. With hyper-velocity ammunition designed to eject nothing, these systems are especially effective in a vacuum and for on orbit operations, where space debris is still an operational concern. Each weapon’s sight is rangefinding, and is coupled with a SAS HUD mounted reticle. Extreme accuracy over very long ranges, coupled with uncompromising reliability make these the best weapons to deploy in the SCE. They can also use lower velocity ammunition designed for use in an atmosphere, making them combat effective on Terrestrial battlefields.
Advanced Individual Space-operations Weapons System (AISWS)
The backbone of any force is it’s riflemen. As part of the ASWS, this is the weapon that they will take to space. Based on a 6.5mm hyper-velocity caseless round, integrated with the SCS targeting system, this weapon is light, fast, and deadly.
Advanced Squad Space-operations Weapons System (ASSWS)
This weapon is designed for use as a squad automatic rifle, with a heavy, accurate ammunition, integrated SAS sighting, and either belt, cannister, or magazine feed. The rifle can be fired off hand, or be bipod, tripod, or from a suit based mounting systems, producing quickly deployed, heavy hitting firepower, both withering in volume and accuracy.
Advanced Space-operations Personal Weapons (ASPW)
When size and convenience are the deciding factor, Kepler has your back with either a sidearm or light personal defence weapon, both firing the same 10mm caseless round. Sighting is seamlessly integrated with the SAS, using the same system as the other weapons in the ASWS.
Individual De-orbit System (IDS)
Derived from the Maiden (Orbital bailout) system, this allows an individual combatant to translate from either sub-orbital or orbital spaceborn combat operations to effective surface combat operations in less than de-orbit time plus five minute. This works as both an emergency recovery system, or provides an unprecedented ability to place assets anywhere in the world (or other worlds) in record times.
A strictly combat Medevac system is also being developed, codename “Valkyrie”.
